This week we had a couple of government security specialists come to Bump Towers to look into bumping, bump keys, locksmith tools (they loved the pick gun) and our various tools and ideas for lock picking. Within minutes they were busy lock bumping, the pair of them inpatiently wanting the lock pick gun (snap gun) from the other.
They had received a mail-shot about bumping with pictures of bump keys. They'd already seen different lock pick guns but not had a go, so as well as bumping and lock picking, seeing pick guns 'at work' was also on their agenda and they were obviously impressed in no time
They stayed for some time, interested in perhaps purchasing various lock picking, bumping and locksmith tools. It was hard to discuss business with them as they were immediately addicted to bumping and both wanted to learn how to pick locks. That's some question 'How to pick locks'? As well as standard lock picking and bumping I demonstrated the mica, pick-gun, raking and various other non destructive entry techniques, I showed them the lock picking books, the ' Mortice I.D Manuals', 'The Bumpology', 'Visual Guide to Lockpicking' and gave them a few sets of bump keys, pick guns and old locks to get to grips with back at headquarters.
We discussed possible sets for the type of work they're involved in and showed them a good amount of bumping kit to get a good feel for the technique and it's possibilities. Loads of locks opened easily and UK Bump Keys were at the top of their game, opening locks all over the place. I suggested a trained lock picker should be available for most forces, someone who is an excellent lock picker, bumper etc and who has the locksmith and lock picking tools needed to pick the locks as neccessary when needed on a non destructive entry job
All in all they were very impressed with the bumping and lock picking. The pick gun I think was their favourite although bumping was a close second - they were both counting how many locks they'd bumped and who bumped the lock in the least hits. We had a short discussion about car picks and different methods of car entry. There are certain car lock pick sets we have in the pipeline that will be more apropriate to their needs. We have a huge range of car lock picks on their way actually - watch this space for car picks
It was a mutaully beneficial visit . They took a book (they loved all the books) and were keen to get going on their bump keys - They had bump hammers and spent the short walk to the car discussing who was getting what bump key, who was the best bumper, who bumped the most locks.
UK Bump Keys have supplied countless police forces lock pick sets, bump keys, locksmith tools, car lock picks, books, pick guns and even had lengthy correspondence about bumping and how to pick locks. We're the official supplier to several local governments and they too have bought many sets and all sorts of different non-destructicve entry kits from us - bumping is becoming official!
